SHAMSHERA MOVIE REVIEW

What a film ! Blown away !!!

"Favouritest" person returning to screen after 3 long years, and sharing it with another hot favourite was certainly huge and worth excitement. And now as I move out of the theatres, I announce, the 2h 40mins were WORTH THE EXCITEMENT.

A theatrical journey that startled me, mesmerized me and dragged the word WOW from 'tween the lips. A film for which I won't sit to make critical analysis, but jot down some positive and negative points -

𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 --

1. The action sequences seem quite fictional at times ,keeping in with typical Indian filmy action, but within a certain range not reaching up to KGF or RRR' s level.

2. Delivery of a child amidst gun firings without a medical aid was way too unbelievable and funny .

3. The love-making sequences were slow and not that catchy to fix our eyes to the screen.

4. Vfx,though overall fantastic, were pretty poor in terms of the train scene ,and the eagle disturbing Balli after his escape off to the shore .

𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 --

1. ACTING -- Just as I said ,the cast had two of my most favourite actors ...and the sight of them together on screen for the first time was quite a treat for an admirer . To be very honest ,it was a 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗝𝗔𝗬 𝗗𝗨𝗧𝗧 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 all the way ❤️ My word ! Such intense acting and action at 61 ! No wonder he is made for big projects !!!! Ranbir Kapoor was equally brilliant, especially as Balli . Ronit Roy's commentary and small acting parts were superb . Another show-stealer ,certainly was,Saurabh Shukla . This man in Ranbir films is quite something . Other than this , Shamshera's wife has played a handy part as well.

2. BGM - An action-packed period piece, with a story of vengeance , of desperation, intensity ,depends a lot on bgm . The music director has done a fantastic job here to constantly keep the mood intensified through the extremely powerful bgm, and the theme music . Kudos !

3. SONGS - Every song was fantastic , made for a supreme hall experience and LARGER THAN LIFE . JI HUZOOR was a dream to witness in theatres. The item songs ,brilliantly supported by Vani's dances ,have been used beautifully, blending proper pace of action and events with the songs . Witnessed proper use of item songs long after AGNEEPATH . FITOOR was an auditory bliss, though the sequence wasn't strongly built .

4. CINEMATOGRAPHY - Absolutely top notch ! This is again a very important aspect of period films according to me . Cinematography here was soothing , extravagant and royal - something of a premium feel . Still can't forget the last shot where Shuddh Singh hangs from the fortway, with Colonel reading Balli's letter ,and the hills and the fort hauling the background ,with the crows hovering above.

5. SCREENPLAY ,DIALOGUES, DIRECTION -
A speedy ,catchy ,touchy ,intense screenplay, with no unreal or extraordinary stuffs . A story of liberation ,desperation and hope . Dialogues , especially, ones presented rhythmically and the humorous punchlines took the movie to a different standard altogether . Finally ,director has certainly done a fantastic job to integrate so many aspects together in such a bulky project to treat us with something so so sumptuous .This one is 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐒 .
